The Medical Insurance Coding/Billing program in Ft. Lauderdale prepares students for entry-level positions as medical records coders or for positions in medical insurance billing departments within hospitals, medical facilities, private insurance billing firms and other medical support service organizations.

The curriculum covers CPT and ICD-9 coding principles, pathologic anatomy and physiology, medical software application, database management, legal issues, and billing and reimbursement systems.
